The rant against @darktable to promote your own fork sounds like a strange strategy to me as an open source developer.

I’m a long time user of Darktable and every time they remove a feature or change something and breaking your actual photographic workflow is painful.

Yes sometime you have to refactor but keeping the features is critical to keep a user base. Ansel photos is basically a new software with a lot of features removed.
