I’m using Mastodon for the past year, operating 5 instances. Here is the two most annoying things that should be fixed globally in the Mastodon implementation:

• The 500 chars limits should be configurable https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/12265

• Seeing followers of a user directly via an instance to facilitate the following of new users. All is there, a local instance can fetch the followers (you know HTTP) and display it directly. What’s the blocking factor?
