Multicast is often a pain to maintain or configure for different reasons. I'm just maintaining some tools and information, I'm using in order to do multicast on some systems.

smcroute - http://www.cschill.de/smcroute/ - when dynamic multicast router are not possible, it's a simple tool to add multicast route in the linux kernel.
