I got an issue with a large dust (I won't say who put the dust ;-)) on the CCD sensor of my Canon. I checked everywhere what's the best option for cleaning the CCD sensor in a safe and secure way. Some vendors claim that you cannot clean by yourself the CCD sensor… It's not true. There are safe way to cleanup the CCD sensor. The green clean V-3000 MiniVac is a kind of small vacuum cleaner using a can of compressed air. The kit also includes a liquid for cleaning the CCD if you have dust glued on the sensor.

It tried it on my camera with a great success. It's clearly cheaper than the return to Canon and, if you take your time, there is no risk.
